Presentation: "Building for Performance and Scalability : How to integrate performance management into your development process"
Time:
Wednesday 15:45 - 16:45
Location:
Rutherford Room
Abstract: Performance and Scalability are key characteristics of applications which are as important as functionality. Very often applications however suffer from bad performance and scalability. The reasons in most case lie in bad testing and management of performance requirements. This talk will discuss the principles of performance and scalability and then present the most common problems found in real world applications. Besides theoretical explanations which should provide a generic view on topic, practical examples are used for illustration. The talk will conclude with the presentation of an easy to follow approach which helps to ensure performance and scalability by integrating it into the development process. Topic covered will be dynamic architecture validation, performance regression testing and load and performance testing.
