This panel will bring together leading architects and solution providers in the area of performance, scalability, fault tolerance, and clustering; the panel will explore current and emerging architectures, practices, and solutions for achieving predictable performance & scalability.

Andreas Grabner, Technology Strategist for dynaTrace software

 Andreas  Grabner
Andreas Grabner has over 12 years experience as an architect and developer in the Java, .NET and Web 2.0 space with a strong focus on application performance. In his current role, Andi works as a Technology Strategist for dynaTrace software. In his role he influences the dynaTrace product strategy and works closely with customers in implementing performance management solutions across the entire application lifecycle. He is also the Lead of the dynaTrace Community with a special focus on Web Performance Optimization and the dynaTrace AJAX Edition. He is a frequent speaker on software performance and architecture topics at technology conferences like TheServerSide Java Symposium, Velocity OLC, SpeedGeeks, SharePoint TechCon or SOAWorld. He regularly publishes articles blogs on http://blog.dynatrace.com. Before working for dynaTrace Andi worked as an engineer and product manager for Segue Software and Borland on their Silk Product Line, Load-Testing with SilkPerformer and Functional-Testing.

Cameron Purdy, Oracle

 Cameron  Purdy

Cameron Purdy is Vice President of Development at Oracle. Prior to joining Oracle, Mr. Purdy was the CEO of Tangosol, whose revolutionary Coherence Data Grid product provides reliable and scalable data management across the enterprise. Mr. Purdy has over ten years of experience with Java and Java-related technology.

As a software visionary and industry leader, Mr. Purdy is a frequent presenter at industry conferences and has received a number of awards in recognition of his contribution to the Java community, including twice being named as a JavaOne RockStar and being recognized in TheServerSide´s "Who´s Who in Enterprise Java". He regularly participates in industry standards development and is a specification lead for the Java Community Process.

Kunal Bhasin, Deputy CTO at Terracotta

 Kunal  Bhasin

Kunal Bhasin is the Deputy CTO at Terracotta where he overlooks the ongoing evolution of the Terracotta Platform, mentors the Solution Architects in the field and helps with other initiatives of the CTO's office. For close to five years at Terracotta, Mr. Bhasin has been instrumental in some of Terracotta’s biggest deployments in terms of scale, performance and availability while playing a key role in the evolution of the Terracotta technology and product suite. He currently specializes in building and architecting highly scalable, highly available, fully fault tolerant and robust Java applications delivering peak optimum performance, ease of operations and lower cost.

Mr. Bhasin has many years of experience in a wide array of systems ranging from hard real-time at NASA-Ames to web/e-commerce applications. He came to Terracotta from Infospace, where he built and architected components of server side infrastructure including search, mobile and social gaming. Prior to Infospace, Mr. Bhasin was involved in various roles that included building a Robotics test bed for NASA-Ames and performing computer science research as a Research Scholar for Carnegie Mellon University.

Mr. Bhasin holds a M.S. in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Pune University, India. He grew up in India and currently lives in Sausalito, California.

Uri Cohen, Gigaspaces Product Mgr

 Uri  Cohen

Uri has been with GigaSpaces for 3 and half years, first serving as a customer solutions architect and later on as product manager, his current role. He is responsible for gathering and articulating product requirements, driving product releases and conducting product marketing activities to customers and prospects. He often speaks at industry conferences and GigaSpaces user events.

Uri has an accumulated nearly 10 years’ experience in architecting, implementing, tuning and deploying large-scale enterprise systems. His main areas of expertise are enterprise Java, distributed computing and, naturally, GigaSpaces. In his spare time, Uri enjoys hanging out with his 2 young daughters, perhaps the only two people in the world who really understand him
