Presentation: "Futures Trade Flow: Innovation in Trade Processing"

Time: Wednesday 16:50 - 17:50

Location: Westminster Suite, Fourth Floor

Abstract:

How the financial front and back offices spoke to each other via a stovepipe architecture of point to point feeds. This is a war story of how and why we attempted to address this, joining together the front and back office views of a trade and paying down accumulated technical debt. The talk will feature some of the tools and techniques we used: financial message standards (FIXML, FpML), Spring Integration to wire messaging components together, and using a Space-based architecture and event based programming paradigm.
