Presentation: Tweet"Node Red"
The Internet of Things is not a single choice of technology, approach or philosophy. Its very existence is the bringing together of multiple platforms, products and protocols, where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
We need to make it as easy as possible to allow developers, to make things, for play or profit, serious or whimsical, professional or hobbyist.
This talk introduces Node-RED, an open-source project created by IBM's Emerging Technology Services team. It provides a browser-based environment for visually wiring together the many different streams that exist in the world of IoT. Capable of running on anything from a Raspberry Pi up, it allows the developer to focus on the task in hand and not worry about the plumbing.
