Abstract

Want awesome teams that build great products? Great teams don’t happen by accident. And they don’t have to take a long time to build.  You’ve read the Google research on psychological safety. You’ve heard about how safety and team emotional intelligence correlate to high-performance teams. The research tells us about the correlation between safety, EI, and performance, but it doesn’t tell us exactly how to get safety and EI.
In this learn-by-doing mini-workshop, we practice the Core Protocols – the behavior patterns of high-performance teams. We will traverse an activity set that quickly induces psychological safety, team EI, and high-performance. You’ll leave with skills to increase your team’s safety, EI, and performance.
This mini-workshop is a preview of our Thursday afternoon half-day workshop, Building Great Teams: Culture and Core Protocols
