Gregory Collins is a Canadian software engineer living in Zürich, Switzerland. He works at Google Zürich in the Site Reliability Engineering team.

Gregory holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Yale University.

Abstract:

Haskell is an advanced functional programming language. The product of more than twenty years of cutting-edge research, it enables the rapid development of robust, concise, fast software.

In this talk, we'll discuss what makes Haskell a great fit for high-performance web applications, with a particular focus on the Snap Framework, a Haskell web programming toolkit that comes with an integrated, speedy, native-code HTTP server.
