Biography: Damien Katz

Damien Katz is a technologist, inventor, patent holder and entrepreneur. He created CouchDB in 2005 to provide a new kind of database offering the high scalability, reliability, replication and sync capabilities needed for web and cloud computing. Damien began his engineering career working on Lotus Notes for Iris Associates (acquired by IBM) and continued on at MySQL, where he cemented his database engineering reputation. He is a frequent speaker at industry events, including Data 2.0, QCon, MySQL Conference, Erlang Factory, StackOverflow DevDays, O'Reilly E Tech, and Ruby Fringe. He is co-founder and CTO of Couchbase.

Biography: Dwight Merriman

Dwight is CEO and Co-Founder of 10gen, and one of the core MongoDB kernel committers. In 1995, Dwight co-founded DoubleClick and served as its CTO for ten years. Dwight was the architect of the DoubleClick ad serving infrastructure, DART, which serves tens of billions of ads per day. Dwight is co-founder, Chairman, and the original architect of Panther Express (now part of CDNetworks), a content distribution network (CDN) technology which serves hundreds of thousands of objects per second. Dwight is also a co-founder and investor in BusinessInsider.com and Gilt Groupe.

Biography: Siddharth Anand

Siddharth "Sid" Anand has deep experience designing and scaling high-traffic web sites. Currently, he is a senior member of LinkedIn's Service Infrastructure team. 
 
Prior to joining Linked In, he served as Netflix's Cloud Database Architect, Etsy's VP of Engineering, a search engineer and researcher at eBay, and a performance engineer at Siebel Systems. He graduated from Cornell University with both BS and M.Eng degrees -- his graduate work focused on distributed computing.

Tom Wilkie, VP of Engineering at Acunu

Tom Wilkie

Biography: Tom Wilkie

Tom co-founded Acunu and leads the engineering team. He previous worked in a range of engineering roles at both Citrix and XenSource managing key customer projects with major enterprises. As one of the first employees at XenSource he played a key part in developing the XenServer management stack. He holds an MA in Computer Science from Cambridge University where he was also a research assistant.
