Val Yonchev

Head of Customer Success @Team Topologies

Before joining Team Topologies to lead the Go-to-Market as Head of Customer Success, Val spent time at Red Hat and Digital.AI, where he led teams focused on helping organizations to become more successful with technology. In his work Val is very much driven by his belief that organizations must continuously evolve to remain a place where people can bring their full creativity and full self at work. He is a Theory Y philosopher and Leading-by-Intent Aficionado.

Val is an early proponent of DevOps Topologies and Team Topologies. While leading Red Hat Open Innovation Labs he helped several enterprises adopt a combination of Wardley Mapping, Domain Driven Design, Team Topologies for improving their organizational design, align it with the technology roadmaps they aspire to make real and deliver tangible business outcomes. He co-designed a scalable approach to team enablement (Labs Residency) inspired by the DevOps Dojo, simulating several of the Team Topologies team types and the interactions patterns. This approach allowed organizations to accelerate their transformation through the use of Product Development Frameworks (Outcome Delivery, aka Mobius), which made it easy to find a fit-for-purpose mix of Agile, DevOps, Design Thinking and all new additions to the toolbox like GitOps.

Val is a keen advocate for Platform Engineering and continues to actively advise organizations on the topic.
