Jonathan Trevor, Yahoo! Pipes

Jonathan Trevor works in the Platform group at Yahoo!, where he gets to improve, innovate, and create various Yahoo! applications and services like Pipes.

Prior to Yahoo! he was a senior research scientist at FX Palo Alto Laboratory, where he worked on mobile and ubiquitous systems, computer-supported cooperative work and human computer interaction.

He received a PhD in computer science from the University of Lancaster, UK in 1995.

Jeff Barr, Amazon

Jeff Barr, Senior Evangelist, Amazon Web Services. Jeff Barr is focused on furthering awareness of web services and inspiring developers to create innovative applications using Amazon Web Services. Barr meets regularly with developers throughout the U.S. and abroad to introduce Amazon Web Services? expanding platform and showcase businesses that currently utilize the program?s services.

Barr joined Amazon in August 2002 as a Senior Software Developer on the Associates team and has a longstanding interest in Web services and programmatic information interchange. He has held development and management positions at Microsoft, KnowNow, eByz, Akopia, was a co-founder of Visix Software, and launched the news feed service, Syndic8.com. He earned his bachelor?s degree in computer science from American University and performed graduate work in computer science at George Washington University.

Dave Carroll, salesforce.com, inc.

 Dave  Carroll

Dave Carroll is principal developer evangelist at salesforce.com. Carroll's focus is on growing the developer community and inspiring developers to think creatively about using various Web 2.0 technologies with the company's Salesforce on-demand platform and AppExchange marketplace. Dave was instrumental in launching and validating the company's first Web services API, which now handles more than 50% of all salesforce.com service transactions.

Carroll has also led and participated in the creation of many developer tools, including teaming up with Ron Hess of salesforce.com and James Ward of Adobe to build the popular Flex Toolkit for Apex. Carroll has helped evangelize the power and innovation possible with on-demand computing growing the Salesforce Developer Network from its inception to more than 60,000 members.

Previously, Carroll demonstrated his early understanding of the value of on-demand software as a service serving as chief technology officer at Advanced HR, Inc., a Saratoga-based on-demand software company providing Compensation Benchmarking for pre-IPO companies. Before that, Carroll was a senior technical analyst and technologist for PSW-3, a financial services company. Carroll has spent over 15 years developing software on a variety of platforms.

Nati Shalom, Gigaspaces, Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Nati is the CTO and Founder of GigaSpaces. He is responsible for defining the technology roadmap and the direction of GigaSpaces' products as they relate to standards adaptations, architecture, and product design. Nati is also the Head of the Israeli Grid consortium.

He has 10 years of experience with distributed technology and architecture namely CORBA, Jini, J2EE, Grid and SOA. As a software visionary and industry leader, Mr. Shalom is a frequent presenter at industry conferences and is actively involved in evangelizing Space Based Architecture and Data Grid patterns.
