Presentation: "Testing by Example with Spring 2.5"

Time: Friday 11:00 - 12:00

Location: Rutherford Room

Abstract:

As the leading full-stack application framework for Java SE and Java EE, the Spring Framework delivers significant benefits for many projects, increasing development productivity and runtime performance while improving test coverage and application quality.

This session will provide attendees an in-depth look at the new annotation-based TestContext framework for unit and integration tests in Spring 2.5 straight from the author. Specifically, Sam will highlight the internals of the testing support and show the audience how to get up and running quickly with hands-on examples.

This talk will cover topics ranging from testing Spring application contexts to transactional integration tests against a database, configuring test fixtures via dependency injection, and extending the TestContext framework for custom testing needs.
