CloudFoundry is the open source Platform as a Service (PAAS) project initiated by VMware. Biography: Dave Syer

Dr David Syer works for VMware in London providing Identity Management solutions for the Cloudfoundry platform. He is also an active Spring committer in many areas (Spring, Spring Security, Spring AMQP, Spring Integration) and is the technical lead on Spring Batch, the batch processing framework and toolkit from SpringSource. He is an experienced, delivery-focused architect and development manager, and has designed and built successful enterprise software solutions using Spring, implementing them in major financial institutions worldwide. David is known for his clear and informative training style and has deep knowledge and experience with all aspects of real-life usage of Java and the Spring framework. He enjoys creating business value from the application of simple principles to enterprise architecture.
