Presentation: "Characteristics of Next Generation Application Servers"

Time: Thursday 16:00 - 17:00

Location: Rutherford Room

Abstract:

Even at the glory days of application servers and relational databases it was clear that when it comes to performance and scalability this model suffers from dramatic deficiencies. Now as cloud computing becomes more popular it is evident that a new breed of application servers is required. One that combines the simplicity of Spring the flexibility of OSGi and scalability of Compute/Data Grids.

In his presentation Guy Nirpaz is going to discuss the characteristics of the Next Generation Application Servers which enable building applications for the cloud and meets scalability and availability requirements.
