Henk Kolk is the Chief Technology Officer of Capgemini's Financial Services Sector in the Netherlands. He is responsible for the implementation of Model Driven Architecture and Business Domain Languages. Mr. Kolk has over 18 years of Object Oriented / Component Based Development / SOA experience, most of it leading or coaching architecture and RUP elaboration phases for clients. |

Abstract:
Business experts programming? Intentional offers a radical new software approach that separates business domain knowledge from software engineering knowledge. This simplifies the software creation process as domain experts contribute directly the business knowledge using their own business domain language. Business experts innovate quicker and become more responsive to changes in the business domain. Programmers are still responsible for the software created, but instead of encoding every business requirement, they concentrate on the job they do best: creating a clean, reusable and reliable code generator. The business knowledge is weaved into the software code through code generation. This session will discuss a case study at Capgemini where the Intentional approach is used in the Financial Services domain. |
