This panel will bring together leading architects and solution providers in the area of performance, scalability, fault tolerance, and clustering; the panel will explore current and emerging architectures, practices, and solutions for achieving predictable performance & scalability.

Alois Reitbauer, Technology Strategist at dynaTrace

 Alois  Reitbauer

Alois Reitbauer works as a Technology Strategist for dynaTrace Software where he is leading the Methods and Technology team. As part of the R&D team he influences the dynaTrace product strategy and works closely with key customers in implementing performance management solution for the entire lifecylce. Alois has 10 years experience as architect and developer in the Java and .NET space. He is a frequent speaker at technology conferences on performance and architecture related topics and regularly publishes articles blogs on blog.dynatrace.com

Brian Oliver, Oracle

 Brian  Oliver

Brian Oliver is a Global Solutions Architect at Oracle. He works within the Oracle Coherence Engineering group and predominantly focuses on enabling financial institutions across Europe and North America to implement massively scalable and high-performance Data Grid solutions.

Over the past 10 years he has been leading the development of large-scale multi-language and multi-currency Web, E-Commerce, Sports Gaming and Financial systems making extensive use of Java technologies. He's the founder of the Coherence SIG, probably the only regularly meeting Data Grid Special Interest Group in the world, and the Coherence Incubator, a site dedicated to providing reference implementations of architectural patterns on top of Oracle Coherence.

He's been using Java since 1996. He opens an IDE every couple of days to cook up new solutions. On alternate days he's in the air traveling around Europe and North America talking about Data Grids.

Matthew Fowler, Director NT/e

 Matthew  Fowler

Matthew Fowler has over 30 years experience in the IT industry with a focus on software development. His professional career spans periods with major IT vendors and users, as well as in consulting and running his own companies.

Matthew is currently Managing Director of NT/e, which has a long track record in large scale systems development and integration. NT/e was one of the first integration specialists to adopt the J2EE platform, providing consulting support to BEA/WebLogic in many of the major European deployments of J2EE. The Company has particular expertise in building high performance, high volume enterprise solutions in the financial services industry sector.

Matthew gained a degree in Computer Science, when it was still called Electrical Engineering, from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Shay Banon, GigaSpaces

 Shay  Banon

Shay is Director of Technology at GigaSpaces Technologies, a leading provider of a new generation of application platforms for Java and .Net environments. He is also the founder of the Compass open source project, a unique solution enabling search capabilities into any application model. Shay started working on mission critical real time C/C++ systems, later moving to Java (and never looked back). Within the Java world, Shay has worked on a propriety implementation of a distributed rule engine(RETE) server, your typical Java based web projects, and messaging based projects within the financial industry.
