Maximising an Agentic AI Ecosystem: Trust, Control and Scale

Abstract

Agentic AI is rapidly moving beyond individual assistants toward interconnected ecosystems of agents, tools, and platforms. This shift promises step‑change improvements in productivity and autonomy—but it also introduces new challenges around trust, control, and operational scale.

In this session, we explore what an agentic AI ecosystem really is, how it differs from today’s AI‑augmented applications, and why ecosystems—not standalone agents—will define the next phase of software systems. We examine the emerging roles of orchestration, context sharing, interoperability, and governance, and how these elements enable agents to collaborate safely across domains and organisational boundaries.

Rather than focusing on implementation details, this talk provides a strategic, practitioner‑led view of where agentic AI is heading and the architectural trade‑offs that matter most. Attendees will leave with a clear mental model for evaluating agentic AI platforms, understanding where autonomy adds value, and identifying the controls required to scale agentic systems responsibly in real‑world environments.
