Highly Available Systems

Track abstract
Until about 18 months ago enterprise and financial applications were the main realm of high availability and high performance computing. Now, mobile applications and social media have changed application design, deployment, and operation. Gaming, educational and entertainment applications have the equivalent or higher availability and performance requirements than enterprise apps because consumers want their information to be accurate, and they want it now. The High Availability and Performance Track explores the requirements, methodologies, techniques, tools, and policies for planning, building, deploying, and supporting highly available and performing systems across a continuum from mobile to enterprise class applications.
