Presentation: "Performance Tuning for Java Applications"

Time: Friday 14:05 - 15:05

Location: Rutherford Room, Fourth Floor

Abstract:

Applications interact with many systems and it can be time consuming to work out how to get the best possible performance from your application before you hit production.

This talk will discuss methods of improving the response time of a Java application, using Atlassian applications such as JIRA and Confluence as a working example. It will include practical tips and advise on tuning your environment to run your application smoothly, as well as providing ways to prove that you're helping rather than harming your systems.
