Big Data and NoSQL

Host
Michael Floyd
Track abstract
The software and computing community has put a spotlight on data and data architecture. New technology has emerged for processing and analyzing very large data sets commonly known as 'Big Data'. Software such as Apache Hadoop has gained traction as an aid to big data analytics. Social networks have given us web sites with communities of hundreds of millions of users, putting an increased emphasis on systems and databases that scale. A class of key-value stores and graph databases, commonly called NoSQL databases, has emerged to enable us to build systems that scale out horizontally to support millions of users. Come to this track to explore emerging data and data architecture trends, including NOSQL and Big Data.
