Panel: Remote and Hybrid Work

All four of the track speakers will join in a panel discussion offering practical tips, techniques and advice on making work more effective, fulfilling and productive in the many ways of working that we experience in the unfolding and evolving environment we find ourselves in today.

Helen Bartimote, C.Psychol

Principal Psychologist @Container Solutions,

Helen Bartimote, Principal Psychologist at Container Solutions, has worked as a Psychologist for over two decades after graduating with a Master’s degree in Organisational Psychology from The University of Manchester. 

She is a Chartered Member and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS), Registered Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She is an accredited Tavistock Institute executive coach. Helen uses a holistic lens to view and work with organisations; considering the individual, group and systemic perspective to help create and support psychologically safe work cultures. 

Helen has worked as an Organisational Psychologist for both the private and public sector. Following the events of 9/11 she worked with the London Fire Emergency Planning Authority and Metropolitan Police Service. Moving on to working as a freelancer with clients such as PwC, KPMG and the Ministry of Defence. In 2019 she started working with a start-up cloud native consultancy called Container Solutions eventually taking on a full time psychologist role with them.

During her time in Container Solutions she has introduced various initiatives / systems to further support wellbeing and mental health. Implementing mental health awareness for managers and creating accessible systems of wellbeing support for all employees. Alongside this she has created multiple structured hiring processes, incorporating an extensive range of bespoke and psychometric assessments designed to predict probability of emotional intelligent behaviour at work. She has developed the high potential leadership programme (ELP)  introducing group coaching sessions for cohorts.

Rebecca Parsons

CTO @Thoughtworks

Dr. Rebecca Parsons is Thoughtworks' CTO. She has more years of experience than she’d like to admit in technology and large-scale software development. She recently co-authored the book Building Evolutionary Architectures with colleagues Neal Ford and Pat Kua.

Before ThoughtWorks she worked as an assistant professor of computer science at the University of Central Florida, after completing a Director's Post Doctoral Fellowship at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Her interests include parallel and distributed computation, programming languages, domain specific languages, evolutionary architecture, genetic algorithms, and computational science.

Rebecca received a BS in Computer Science and Economics from Bradley University, and both an MS and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Rice University.

Gemma Honour

Director of Coaching @Bryter Work

Gemma Honour is the Director of Coaching for Bryter Work, a people first change consultancy, where she infuses change and workshops using the power of visual facilitation.  Gemma moved into the world of Agile following her work as a software systems tester, before moving into project management, but it was her time as a scrum master where she learned the power of using visuals and play based techniques to build great culture, aid learning of new concepts and solve tricky problems in ways that get everyone involved.
