Clean Code is the Base for a Well-Functioning Dev Team

There has never been a more exciting time to be a developer, with the continuous improvement of the development environment. The recent addition of GenAI/LLM toolbox seems promising to enable developers to focus more on generating value for the business, rather than spending their precious time on low-level tasks.

A lot of what used to be crafting in software development has now become commodity and disposable, but not source code. Code is likely the only real asset for software. It dictates how the software will perform. Unless we take care of it, code can quickly become a liability (e.g.technical debt, security issues) for the software and for the team. In other words, unless the code is clean, the team will not perform well; nor will the software, regardless of the rest of the environment.

In this presentation, I will explain how bad code makes teams and software underperform, and how this can be easily changed in every organization by taking a couple of very simple steps towards Clean Code, regardless of technology used or seniority of the team.
